There’s so much to do at the Reservoir! With trails circling the top wall of the site as well as multiple smaller trails along the lower level and water, there’s much to explore.

Accessibility notes: trails are cut without pavement, and some trail connections may involve steps or light scrambling.

Arts & Culture

The JCRPA hosts arts and cultural events periodically at the Reservoir as well as off-site around the commu

Kayak Days

During the summer, the JCRPA will post special event days at which we will offer kayaking programs to the public. All kayak sessions begin with a brief lesson on kayaking and safety. As we are an entirely volunteer-run group, we cannot offer these daily. Please check back for an announcement of our next kayaking day!

Note: The public is currently not permitted to bring their own kayak onto Reservoir 3. We will post an update if this changes.

Fishing

Guests are welcome to bring their own bait and tackle to fish at the Reservoir. Fishing is catch and release only.

The fishing program, for newcomers to the hobby who would like to learn to fish, is run by the City of Jersey City and not affiliated with the JCRPA. Entry for the fishing program is at the Main Gate along Jefferson Avenue.

Please check the City website for more information.
